Wilson Thomas has worked throughout the Australian entertainment industry for the last 16 years as a singer, dancer and actor. He performed as part of the original Australian cast of the Helpmann award winning Billy Elliot The Musical, and was nominated for a Music Oz award (Australia’s top music awards for unsigned artists) for best Jazz Album aged just 17.

Wilson has appeared in television shows such as X Factor Australia as a backing vocalist, and as a guest star on the Seven Network medical drama All Saints. Wil also performed in various corporate events across Australia, as well as working for the Sydney Capitol & Lyric theatres on various smash hit musicals such as Mary Poppins the Musical and Legally Blonde the Musical.

Before turning professional, Wilson travelled to the World Choral Symposium in Rotterdam at age 12 as part of the acclaimed children’s choir Gondwana Voices. After leaving school he moved to Sydney and studied at the prestigious National Institute for Dramatic Art (NIDA). He then returned to Queensland in 2016 to undertake a bachelor of jazz performance at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, under the tutelage of esteemed vocal pedagogue Dr Irene Bartlett.

Outside of music, Wilson takes an interest in health and sports. He is a qualified Remedial Therapist and has worked with national sports franchises such as the Melbourne Storm, and Brisbane Broncos.
